Report:

1. By Bro. Fakhrul:

a. Bro. Nagih cannot come, so no update for donation amount this week.
b. One week the daily da'wah to one house had bring the donation box and the brothers who been visited seem supporting the efforts.
c. 8 brothers ready for trip to Osaka (24th and 25th Oct)

Suggestion:

1. By Bro Fakhrul:

a. suggest to continue the effort of bringing the donation box during daily da'wah to one house.
b.suggest the meeting discuss about the suggestion given by Bro. Aala last week:

i.the monthly target for donation- Bro Aala suggest 500 000 Yen, average three group collect 150 000 Yen.

ii. select leaders for the three groups:
-Student Group
-Car Sellers and Bussiness men (suggestion from Bro Aala: Dr Faisal be the leader of this group)
-Out-of-Toyama donations

c. suggest the leader for the groups:

i. Student Group- Bro Hakim
ii. Car Sellers and Bussiness men- Dr Faisal
iii- Out-of-Toyama donations- Bro Faruk

d. suggest the monthly target for donation that each group can collect: 150 000 Yen

e.suggest the meeting discuss about two jamaah that will go outside:

i. Jamaah to Gifu: 17th Oct
ii. Jamaah to Osaka: 24th Oct

2. By Bro Faruk:

a. Suggest the brother that will be visited for da'wah and collect donation be contacted first and announce about the visits after daily ta'lim.

b.If the brothers who ready to go to Osaka next week more than 6 brothers, then suggest the group be divided into two or three groups and go different masjids.

c.Announce about the next week trip after daily ta'lim and ask more brothers to join the trip, so more groups can be created.

d. The jamaah that will go to Gifu on 17th Oct, suggest to bring leaflets and give the leaflets to Gifu brothers every prayer.

e. Monthly target for each group suggested by Bro Aala, suggest 100 000 Yen.

3. By Bro Aimann:

a. suggest the monthly target should start with low target so it will not possible to archieve, and will be increase every month.

b. suggest the monthly target for the groups suggested by Bro Aala depends on the target groups. The student group should be lower than others.

4. By Bro Hakim:

a. suggest the donations that receives during daily da'wah be recorded well, so all the donator's names written and known.

b.suggest monthly target for student group, 70 000 Yen.

c. suggest the jamaah that will go to Gifu during Gifu Football Match 17th Oct, discuss with organizer to receive permission to put donation box and pamphlets on counter and can make announcement about the donation during the event.

d. suggest the leader for student group, Bro Adnin.

5. By Bro Firdaus:

a. suggest monthly target for student group, 60 000 Yen.

6. By Bro Fatah:

a. agree with suggestion by Bro Aala and monthly target for each group is 150 000 Yen.

7. By Bro Adnin:

a. make reminder script to remind every after prayer the do'a to ask Allah's help this masjid project.

Decision:

1. The effort bring the donation box during daily da'wah can continue.

2. The monthly target for each group 150 000Yen and will discuss about it again after 1 month trial.

3.The leader for the groups:

c. Out-of-Toyama donations: Bro Faruk

3. The jamaah that will go to Gifu 17th October will bring donation box, pamphlets, and will try to co-operate with the Gifu Football Match Organizer to make announcement about the donation.

4. Pamphlets also will be spread in Gifu masjid.

5. Try to ask more brothers to join next week trip until wednesday and will decide how much group and the places that can be visited other than Osaka.

6. Announce about the trip after every daily ta'lim.

7. Reminder script to remind about the do'a will be manage by Bro Fakhrul.

1. By Bro Nagih:

a. this week Bro Nagih little busy and will update the donation amount next week.

Suggestion:

1. By Bro Fakhrul:

a. Suggest a group is created among the Malaysian students who will be participating in Gifu Football Match on the 17th of October to visit Gifu Masjid and ask the help of their community to spread the information about this project. If it is possible, to start a collection of donation too.

b. there is problem with the style in encouraging Toyama student to donate the starting donation 20 000YEN that look like forcing, but the problem is individual problem (the weakness of Bro Fakhrul's style of encouraging people) that can be solve if all student gives their contribution and select the best and softest speaker among the student to replace the "encouraging job" done before.

c. we must hurry to donate and help collecting donation because we don't know in the future are we have money to donate or time to help collecting donation.The death also will come anytime. The opportunity of doing goodness will not always come.

a. Don't be to harsh and force anyone in collecting donation because we are not so hurry to get money and the brother will feel uneasy and not ikhlas to donate.

b. Collect donation during the "Da'wah to one house per day" which is Mosalla's daily activity.

c. Ready for help the mission to Gifu suggesting by Bro Fakhrul.

3. By Bro Nagih:

a. We should not forcing people,yes.But we must force ourself to donate (in getting ikhlas) and hurry to help encouraging other people to donate.

b. ready to spread information about this project during the visit to Kanazawa on Saturday (10th Oct)

c. every person in this meeting that had volunteered to become leader, please attend every meeting as possible as we can.

4. By Bro Ahsan:

a. We are not doing enforcement but we should generate the enforcement to donate (motivation to donate and sacrifice)

5. By Bro Faruk:

a. If all brothers ready to sacrifice then we can easily distribute the duties and task including the collecting donation group from outside, the "encouraging people" speaker, the daily "da'wah to one house per day" with donation box , ect. So it will not be done by same two or three brothers only.

6. By Bro Abdel Aziz:

a. all person in this community is a leader of himself, besides we create groups and select leaders to collect donation from other people, why not ourself be the "group and leader" for collecting donation from ourself (start from ourself to donate).

b. ready to spread the information about this project during visiting Sapporo and Tsukuba.

7. By Bro Aalaa:

a. suggest the systematic way in this project mission:

i. SMART method (Spesific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time)

ii. All spesific target must be cleared (the mission must answer the question "who, what, where, when, which, why")

iii. The mission must consider the other point also (measurable, attainable, realistic and the time)

b. suggest the meeting decide the short target amount which is one of the way to encourage people to donate. People will not helping to donate or lazy to help because they don't know how they can complete the donation amount because the target and the time to complete the target are unclear.

c. select spesific criteria of the group for collecting donation and select the best man that have the skills in that criteria. For example :

i. Gofuku Campus Student Group (donation from the student): Bro Adnin be the leader

ii. Car Sellers Group (donation from car sellers): Bro Faisal be the leader because he have good skills in communication with the sellers.

d. Lets the leader do their job by focus in their spesific group and we challenge all leaders to compete each other in completing the donation short target.

Decision:

1.One group will be created for collecting Masjid Project donation among the Malaysian student that will go to Gifu Football Match 17th October.

2. Bro Adnin will be the group leader and responsible to select group members to go to Gifu masjid for collecting donation, collecting information, ask for the help from members of the masjid, and build the dual-communication between Gofuku Mosalla and Gifu Masjid for future benefits.

3. Bro Nagih will be representative to spread the Masjid project information on Saturday (10th Oct) in Kanazawa.

4. Bro Abdel Aziz will be representative to spread the Masjid project information during his visits at Sapporo and Tsukuba.

5. The spesific groups and leaders that suggested by Bro Aala will be decided in next meeting.

6. The short target amount also will be decided in next meeting.

7. The new updates of the donation also will be decided in next meeting.

1. By Bro Adnin:

a. one Tabung Haji Malaysia's account had been created in Malaysia which can help people from Malaysia to donate easier than sending money to Japan.
b. Bro Adnin's father in Malaysia ready to update the donation amount collected in that account for Toyama's brother's information.
c. During Bro Adnin's holiday in Malaysia, he had collected 15000YEN.

2.By Bro Zamir:

a. During Bro Zamir's holiday in Malaysia, he had collected 5000YEN.

3.By Bro Afiq:

a. During Bro Afiq's holiday in Malaysia, he had collected 10000YEN.

4.By Bro Imtiaz:

a. Explaination about the land/bulding option that can be buy for masjid that Bro Imtiaz had found.

b. First Option: Two floors building of apartment
i. 5 minutes walk from main gate of Toyama University
ii. 22 million Yen.
iii. there is one problem is the people that now living inside the building maybe will protest to leave.
iv. still discussing with the building's owner.

c.Second Option: Plain Land
i. 5 minutes with bicycle from main gate of Toyama University
ii. 16 million Yen
iii. the problem is we still need to collect money to build the masjid's building on the land

d. Report about buying current Gofuku Mosalla
i.The Resident Society (Kumi-ai) not so happy at the beginning the house owner give permission for muslim make activities in the house that now been use for Mosalla.
ii. They tolerate because before the house used for Mosalla, the agreement had been signed for allowing Bro Adnin and Bro Fakhrul live in the house for two years. They can't force the owner.
iii. But if the discussion about buying the house started, the Kumi-ai will protest and ask all muslim stop make activities in their living area.
iv. It is advised by Bro Imtiaz's japanese friend also not to start discuss about buying the house if we still want to continue make activities in Gofuku Mosalla before buying new place.
v.Japan Goverment also don't like religious place near the campus area, Gofuku Mosalla reported had been watching by goverment authorities.
vi. Still, the discussion can be made for buying the house by asking Bro Imtiaz's japanese friend discuss with the house owner by his name not by the name of muslim community.

Suggestion:

1. By Bro Fakhrul:

a. the update for donation amount is suggested to make it every week in weekly meeting. (previously the updates are once for every two weeks).

2.By Bro Faruk:

a.make groups for collecting donation in other place.
b. all brothers in community must ready to make sacrifice, not only money but also time.

3. By Bro Ahsan:

a.go to other place for collecting donation with someone that the people in that place know, for better communication.

4. By Bro Nagih:

a. The 20 000 Yen donation from each person every year that had been decided before is just donation for start. It must be completed so the continuos donation can be made.

5. By Bro Imtiaz:

a.Don't worry about the money, don't rushing or hurry, the important is make good niyah(intention) with ikhlas that the effort for building masjid only for the sake of Allah.
b. Collecting donation from other place must be think is the way for other people can also have chances to spend money in the path of Allah.
c.make 2 raka'ah of solah (prayer) and do'a to Allah, because the effort for building masjid not from our own power, but we 100% depend to Allah's will. Only Allah can make the effort be succeed and accept our intention and amal.

Decision:

1. The donation updates will be made every week by Bro Nagih and Bro Adnin start from next meeting.
2. All brothers in this comunity must all ready to make sacrifice and seriously participate in the effort. It is good if all brothers can join the weekly meeting for easy way to distribute the task especially when we want make group to go other places for collecting donation .
3. All brothers continue to collect information and give report in next meeting.
4. All brothers must start donate 20 000 YEN for each person and do not wait for so long to start donate.

a. Fukui brothers had shared their experience about Fukui Masjid Project. They said if only one or two brothers make effort of the project, the project will not successful. All muslim in the community should give their sacrifice :
1) give the best amount of money that they able to give.
2)give time to help collecting money from other place. Must go to other place, not only wait money come through bank or post office.

Decision:

1. After all Malaysian student (about 80% of muslim student) had come back to Toyama from Malaysia after finish their holiday, one gathering will be make to encourage and give all muslim in Gofuku understand the important to support and participate seriously in the project.The gathering's date will be announced later. All brothers MUST support the project as best as they can.Not only hope others to support.

2. Prepare all muslim brothers in Gofuku Toyama to do sacrifice seriously and always ready to go other place in Japan for collecting donation and spread the information about the project. WE MUST move not only WAIT.

3. Collect information about the masjid's or mosalla's address in Japan and contact number of brothers there, to prepare the visits schedule as soon as possible.

1. Bro Imtiaz had found two option of building which have good qualities to make masjid.One of them is two floors building near university which contains 18 rooms of apato (small apartment) and the price around 18 million yen. He ready to make report of his effort after eidul fitr in next meeting.

Decision:
1. Next meeting will invite Bro. Imtiaz and other brother from Toyama Mosque who ready for helping find place to buy for Masjid Project near university.
2. Other local brothers in Gofuku also are encouraged to continue finding places and collect information.

Decision:

1. Postpone the decision on the target of donation amount until next meeting.
2. Bro Faruk will contact Bro Imtiaz and Bro Adnin will contact his japanese friend for collect information about the price of property to build masjid.
3. Every brother must help to do survey and search good place to be our masjid.
4.The collected donation amount will updates every 2 weeks and will be announce in Friday on web.
5. Bro Fakhrul will be back up representative to remember the bank's and post office's ATM pin number during the absence of Bro Adnin.
6.Tomorrow (Saturday 22 August) one jamaah from Mosalla will go to Toyama Mosque to discuss about the project and collect donation. Bro Faruk, Bro Fatah and Bro Fakhrul will join the jamaah.
7.Finalized leaflet will be put after this by Bro Adnin.
8.The halal Shop's items price will not be increased but one donation box will be put in Halal Shop.
9. Bro Nagih will bring the donation box for halal shop.
10.From now, Khatib for Friday Prayer will remind about the project donation.
11. Next Friday 28 August 2009 will be first update for the collected donation amount.

All the decision must not be discussed after meeting. But new suggestion about new matter from any brothers or sisters is highly appreciated.Thank you.

1. By Adnin:

a. Leaflet had prepared and had be attached in TUMCJ Yahoo Group, but still have to correct it, and still not complete because of Post Office account still not be created.
b. Next monday 17 August will go to post office to create the account.
c. received donation about 20 000 YEN in PayPal account.
d. Hokuriku Bank had contacted Bro Adnin today and said they will charged 1500 YEN for transfer fees from foreign bank outside Japan into the Masjid Project account.

Suggestion:

1. By Bro Faruk:

a. suggest himself to prepare donation box for masjid project.

2.Bro Adnin:

a. suggest to keep the paypal's donation more than 30 000 YEN before transfer into bank account because of high fees.

3. By Bro Fatah:

a. suggest meeting and financial report to put in proper filing system including refering number of document.
b. volunteer to manage the filing by taking report from Masjid Project's blog and financial update from Bank account representatives.

4.By Bro Fakhrul:

1. Had created Hokuriku Bank Account by the name of Toyama Musurimu Kai.
But the bank only need one representative and the representative must have Hankou.
So, Bro Adnin had been decided to be representative because he have Hankou.

2. Collected information about Post Office account:

a. there is two type of account,
i.Post Office Chuuyou Bank (Post Office ATM Cash Card holder)
ii.Money Post account (sending by money post form)

3. The difference of the two account are:

a.Post Office Chuuyou Bank

i.Person who sending money by his/her Post Office Chuuyou Bank account to our Post Office Chuuyou Bank account will be no transfer charge.

ii.Person who sending money by form at the counter (because don't have Post Office Chuuyou Bank account) to our Post Office Chuuyou Bank account will be charged about 500 YEN for sending 1000 YEN.

b.Money Post account

i. Person who sending to this account must fill the form at the counter and will be charged about 100 YEN for sending 1000 YEN.

4. Bro Adnin had showed his example of leaflet. He will send to Bro Faruk for editing after Post Office account be settled.

Suggestion:

1.By Bro Fakhrul:

a. Bro Adnin who have Hankou and know the safe number of the ATM card (cash card) which will be made at 13 August must not keep the account book and cash card. The second representative must be selected to keep that item. Bro Fakhrul also knew the safe number of the cash card must not be the second representative.

b.For Post Office account, suggested to make both of the account for easy way in particular condition.

c.Use Bro Adnin's paypal account to receive donation by paypal.

d. After Bro Zamir come back to Toyama , one Masjid Project Committee meeting suggested to be made. (maybe wednesday)

ABOUT TOYAMA MUSLIM STUDENTS MASJID PROJECT

Since 1st April 2008 we had started Gofuku Mosalla located at Gofuku, Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture, Japan near the main campus of University of Toyama. It is rented and unregistered Mosalla.

We had make effort to build the mosalla by TAQWA

We continue our amal and 'ibadah daily, weekly, monthly and inshaa Allah yearly

Daily amal:
1. 5 times prayer in jamaah
2. Visiting one house everyday for da'wah after maghrib
3. Ta'lim of ahadis after I'sha
4. Daily meeting after ta'lim

Weekly amal:
1. Friday prayer
2. Da'wah umumi motivate about da'wah from Maghrib to I'sha
(Visiting some brothers houses for da'wah while some talk of iman and amal in Mosalla after Maghrib, Bayan after I'sha on Thursday)
3. Tadarus alQuran after I'sha on Thursday

Monthly amal:
1. Trips for visiting muslim brothers outside Toyama for da'wah.
2. Helping jamaah of da'wah from outside to make da'wah at Toyama

Yearly amal:
1. Tarawih in the month of Ramadhan
2. Eidul fitr prayer
3. Eidul adha prayer

We have done the best to be good muslim and servants of Allah (swt) although the majority of us are just students in University of Toyama.

We need all muslim brothers in Toyama to support us.
We need all muslim brothers in Japan to support us.
We need all muslim brothers all over the world to support us.

Alhamdulillah, all muslim brothers in Gofuku, Toyama City with other brother in other city had gathered in 31st July 2009. We decided that we need an authorized masjid near Toyama University to continue the effort of Islam in this area, not just temporarily, but permanently until Qiyamah inshaa Allah.
